Unusual increases in sea surface temperatures in the Tropical Pacific Ocean continue to affect global atmospheric circulation.
In the second half of August, the sea surface temperature in the Nino 3.4 region reached approximately 29.4 degrees, and it is stated that the process could exceed the super threshold.
Warm and Humid Autumn Expectation for Turkey
Meteorology Expert Dr. Güven Özdemir stated that, based on Copernicus and General Directorate of Meteorology data, a warm, humid, and fluctuating autumn is expected in Turkey.
Instead of the classic cool and rainy autumn across the country, a weather pattern where temperatures fluctuate is projected to dominate.
Severe Rainfall Warning for October and November
It is emphasized that high sea water temperatures in the Mediterranean and the Black Sea will play a critical role during the autumn season.
It is stated that the encounter of moisture coming from warm seas with cold air that may arrive via the Balkans could lead to severe downpours, particularly in October and November.
Weekly Weather Forecast for Istanbul
During the period of September 7-13, weather conditions in Istanbul are expected to vary throughout the week.
While a cool and dry air driven by northeasterly winds will be effective at the beginning of the week, the probability of precipitation increases towards the weekend with a system originating from the Balkans and the Western Black Sea.
