LNGT Türkiye Vessel Joined the Karpowership Fleet
LNGT Türkiye, the seventh and final vessel of the LNG ship conversion program partnered by Karpowership and Seatrium, was launched in Singapore.
LNGT Türkiye, the seventh and final link in the LNG ship conversion program carried out in partnership with Karpowership and Seatrium, joined the fleet with a ceremony held at the shipyard in Singapore.
The Final Vessel of the Conversion Program
The LNG ship conversion program jointly initiated by Karpowership and Singapore-based Seatrium in 2018 has been successfully completed. LNGT Türkiye, the seventh and final vessel of the program, was named at a special ceremony held at the Admiralty Shipyard in Singapore.
Floating Infrastructure and Operating Principle
These floating terminal vessels, providing floating LNG-to-power infrastructure, can store liquefied natural gas and regasify it when needed. This gas can be securely transferred to Powerships or onshore natural gas infrastructure.
Management Statements and New Goals
Karpowership Deputy General Manager of LNG Investments Ersen Ayanoğlu emphasized that they have left a significant milestone behind in strategic goals with the addition of LNGT Türkiye to the fleet. Ayanoğlu stated that this fleet, equipped with refueling and gas transmission capabilities, will continue to grow with investments.
Future Project LNGT Karadeniz
The company's investments are not limited to this vessel and continue with new projects. Within the framework of the letter of intent signed with Seatrium, conversion and engineering studies for the first project, LNGT Karadeniz, are ongoing.
High Capacity Infrastructure
With the completion of LNGT Karadeniz, developed under the Kinetics initiative, it is targeted to reach a regasification capacity of 600 million standard cubic feet per day. This feature will make it one of the highest-capacity projects.
Global Power and Fleet Structure
Today, Karpowership provides services worldwide with 45 Powerships and an installed capacity exceeding 8,500 MW. In addition to Powerships, the company also has a large LNG fleet consisting of 11 vessels.
