On the third anniversary of Israel's attacks on Gaza, which began after October 7, 2023, and caused massive destruction, solidarity marches and protests with the Palestinian people were held in various cities across Turkey.

Three-Year Balance Sheet in Gaza

As three years have passed since Israel launched its attacks on Gaza, more than 74,000 Palestinians lost their lives and over 175,000 people were injured during this period.

The tragedy experienced after three years marked by bombardments, famine, forced migration, and destruction was protested through various events across Turkey.

Programs in Sakarya and Afyonkarahisar

In Sakarya, citizens who gathered at the Serdivan Sapak Mosque following the morning prayer protested Israel's attacks and called for solidarity with Palestine.

In Afyonkarahisar, a Support for Gaza March was held to Zafer Square with the participation of approximately 7,000 students, teachers, and parents.

Events in Antalya and Tokat

In Antalya, led by imam-hatip schools and with the participation of thousands of people, a Silent Scream March held without chanting slogans concluded at Republic Square.

In Tokat, during the program where the Holy Quran was recited and prayers were made, students released balloons into the sky from the Hıdırlık Bridge to react against the attacks.

Actions in Ankara and Istanbul

Led by the Ankara Palestine Solidarity Platform, citizens who gathered in the capital carried out a Free Palestine march to voice their reactions.

Additionally, in Istanbul, a giant Palestinian flag was projected onto the Galata Tower to send a message of solidarity.
