Prior to the new legislative year, the NEW Party held a comprehensive preparation meeting with the participation of deputies at its headquarters to determine the parliamentary agenda.

Preparations for the Legislative Year

At the preparation meeting held at the party headquarters under the chairmanship of NEW Party leader Özgür Özel with deputies, a roadmap for the new period was drawn up.

Detailed presentations were made on the fields of economy and foreign policy within the scope of the meeting, and the party's preparation process for parliamentary work was evaluated.

Fund Crisis and Bill

Stating that they will bring the fund crisis to the agenda first when parliament opens, the deputies stated that they had previously submitted a bill on this issue to the Presidency of the Parliament.

The deputies emphasized that the burden of the crisis should not be placed on the public and that they will ensure those who made the profit pay the victims.

Field Studies and Expectations

Sharing the results of the field studies carried out throughout the summer period, the party delegation conveyed the problems of different segments of society.

It was stated that the livelihood struggles of the public, primarily farmers, retirees, and teachers, will be brought to the parliamentary agenda.

Foreign Policy and the Mecca Agreement

Among the foreign policy topics discussed at the meeting, the Mecca Agreement, expected to come to parliament in October, drew attention.

Deputies argued that the agreement, under its current conditions, could endanger Turkey and stated that the issue should be discussed comprehensively in parliament.
