President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva held a phone call on August 24.

During this contact, bilateral relations as well as the deepening of cooperation in the defense industry were discussed.

Prominent Systems in the Defense Industry

According to information in the Brazilian press, Baykar-produced Bayraktar TB3 UCAV stands out in the talks between the two countries.

Additionally, the TULPAR tracked armored vehicle family developed by Otokar is among the important topics evaluated.

Air Defense and Space Technologies

It is stated that the talks were not limited only to unmanned aerial vehicles and armored vehicles, but covered a broader area.

In this context, it is reported that cooperation options in the fields of medium-altitude air defense systems and space technologies are also on the table.

Planned Visits and New Council

A high-level delegation from Brazil, led by the ministers of defense, development, industry, and commerce, is planned to visit Turkey.

The parties also agreed to establish a Strategic Council at the level of vice presidents to further develop relations.
