Market Trends and Usage
According to recent research by Truecaller, more than 76% of consumers in India prefer communicating with businesses via phone calls.
Processing 20 million call attempts a month, Ringg is developing technology to meet the high demand in this sector.
Evolution of the Startup
Ringg initially started operations under the name DesiVocal, a startup focused on text-to-speech conversion, before pivoting to develop voice AI agents for businesses.
India-based fintech firm Cred became the startup's first customer, followed by the addition of local companies such as Flipkart, Practo, Groww, and Policybazaar to its customer portfolio.
Expansion of Service Areas
The startup is making a transition from high-volume, low-complexity areas—such as outbound calls and lead qualification—toward more complex workflows.
Within this scope, it handles processes such as appointment booking for health clinics, abandoned cart recovery for e-commerce sites, and identity verification processes for financial applications.
Omnichannel Structure and Growth
While phone calls continue to account for over 70% of Ringg's business volume, the startup has also expanded into areas such as chat, WhatsApp, and browser-based support requests for clients like Shell.
Currently employing 40 staff members and actively hiring, the company counts the majority of its customers in India, alongside a limited number of clients in the Middle East and the US.
