Prison Escapee Who Resisted with Hand Grenade and Accomplice Arrested in Adana
A prison escapee sought in connection with the shooting of a business in Adana, who resisted during an operation by pulling the pin of a hand grenade, and the suspect who supplied him with ammunition, have been arrested.
Mehmet Şirin Doğan, a prison escapee who opened fire from a balcony and resisted police by pulling the pin of a hand grenade in a hallway during a police operation in Adana's Yüreğir district, along with Hasan Çelik, who allegedly provided him with the hand grenade, were arrested by the court.

Police teams carried out an operation at an address in the Atakent Neighborhood of Adana's Yüreğir district to apprehend prison escapee Mehmet Şirin Doğan, who was wanted on charges of shooting at a business.
Resistance with a Hand Grenade
Realizing the arrival of the police, suspect Mehmet Şirin Doğan opened fire from the balcony and then tried to resist law enforcement in the building hallway by pulling the pin of a hand grenade.
As a result of the intervention by special operations police and bomb disposal experts at the scene, the suspect was neutralized by force and detained.
Second Suspect Apprehended
During his statement at the police station, detained Mehmet Şirin Doğan confessed that he had obtained the hand grenade used in the incident from Hasan Çelik.
Following this statement, the teams took action and quickly apprehended and detained Hasan Çelik in an additional operation.
Arrest Decision
Having completed their interrogation and procedures at the police station, suspects Mehmet Şirin Doğan and Hasan Çelik were referred to the courthouse and sent to prison after being arrested by the court.
