Referees and Officials Detained in MHK Investigation
Within the scope of the Central Arbitration Board investigation, many names, including Süper Lig referee Yasin Kol and CAB President Ferhat Gündoğdu, were detained.
Within the scope of the Central Arbitration Board investigation, numerous individuals, including Süper Lig referee Yasin Kol and assistant referee Göktuğ Hazar Erel, were detained, while correspondence and initial testimonies among the suspects emerged.
Detained Individuals
Following the detention of Central Arbitration Board President Ferhat Gündoğdu and six accompanying names, referee Yasin Kol and assistant referee Göktuğ Hazar Erel were also detained.
Correspondence and Allegations of Appointments
In the correspondence between CAB President Ferhat Gündoğdu and referee Yasin Kol, it was seen that referee Kol interfered with all referee appointments and Gündoğdu asked Kol whom he wanted.
Charges and Initial Testimonies
Yasin Kol and Göktuğ Hazar Erel were detained on allegations of violating Law No. 7258, complicity in forgery of documents, and abuse of office.
In his initial testimony, Yasin Kol stated that he did not place any bets and only sent money to a few people who asked for financial loans.
Coordination of the Investigation
The investigation is being carried out by the Istanbul Police Department Financial Crimes Bureau teams under the coordination of the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office Illegal Betting and Sports Crimes Bureau.
Transfer Procedures
It was learned that the detained referees Yasin Kol and Göktuğ Hazar Erel will be sent to Istanbul.
Previous Detentions
Previously in the investigation, Ferhat Gündoğdu along with Ferdi Karadoruk, Ahmet Şahin, Yunus Yıldırım, Sebahattin Şahin, Alican Sağlar, and Emre Kosif had been detained.
