Ministry of Foreign Affairs Spokesperson Öncü Keçeli evaluated Greece's declaration of the Special Spatial Framework for Renewable Energy Sources in a statement made via social media.

Formations Not Specified by Treaties

It was stated that the declared framework will not produce any legal consequences for Turkey, including geographical formations whose sovereignty has not been transferred to Greece by international treaties.

Unilateral Acts Should Be Avoided

Recalling that unilateral acts should be avoided in semi-enclosed seas such as the Aegean Sea and the Mediterranean, it was emphasized that Turkey, as one of the two littoral states, is ready for cooperation.

Emphasis on Good Neighborhood and Solution

It was noted that within the framework of the Athens Declaration, a sincere approach is maintained for the resolution of problems on the basis of international law and equity.
