7 Different Themes Will Be Addressed in 7 Days During Public Health Week
With events led by the Ministry of Health between September 3-9, the goal is to protect public health and prevent diseases.
Within the scope of the September 3-9 Public Health Week by the Ministry of Health, seven different themes will be covered, ranging from maternal and child health to vaccination, and from the fight against addiction to chronic diseases.
The Purpose of Public Health Week
Various events will be organized to draw attention to the protection and improvement of public health, the prevention of diseases before they occur, and the importance of early diagnosis.
Pregnancy and Child Health
With an emphasis on a healthy mother and generation, the importance of follow-ups during pregnancy and the postpartum period will be conveyed, and children will be awarded health ambassador certificates.
Vaccination and the Fight Against Addiction
While vaccination, preventive healthcare services, and health literacy will be explained, counseling lines will be introduced within the scope of the fight against tobacco, substance, and digital addictions.
Chronic Diseases and Cancer Screenings
Early intervention in diabetes, hypertension, and cardiovascular diseases will be emphasized, and free screenings conducted at Cancer Early Diagnosis, Screening and Education Centers (KETEM) will also be recalled.
