Administrative Leave for Civil Servant Parents for Adaptation Training from the Ministry of Health
The Ministry of Health has granted public personnel who are parents of children with an ongoing school adaptation process administrative leave not exceeding 3 hours per day.
The Ministry of Health has granted public employees whose children are preschool, primary school 1st grade, and middle school 5th grade students the right to administrative leave during the adaptation training week, provided it does not exceed three hours per day.
Scope and Details of Administrative Leave
In line with the letter prepared by the Ministry of Health and sent to 81 provincial governorships, a new regulation for public personnel has been implemented. Accordingly, it was announced that administrative leave will be granted to parents of children in the adaptation training process.
According to the details of the practice, healthcare professionals whose children are starting preschool, primary school first grade, and middle school fifth grade will be able to benefit from this right.
Application Dates and Duration Limit
The granted right to administrative leave is planned to cover the week between September 7-11, 2026. Relevant parents will be able to use leave during this period, provided that it does not exceed a total of three hours per day.
In order for the leave to be granted, personnel are required to participate in adaptation training or family participation activities, and the leave process is carried out in compliance with lesson hours.
Personnel to Benefit and Measures
According to the published letter, all healthcare workers within the Ministry, including doctors, nurses, technicians, and administrative personnel, will be able to benefit from the practice.
It was stated that necessary measures will be taken by unit managers in order not to disrupt public services and that leaves will be granted subject to managerial approval.
