Following presentations in various countries, the Akif Manaf Health and Peace Award was presented in the United States to public health expert and International Peace Association US President Mansi Williams.

Following Italy, France, Belarus, Ivory Coast, Pakistan, and Russia, the Akif Manaf Health and Peace Award found its recipient in the USA as well.

Improving access to healthcare services, social solidarity, sustainable living, and efforts toward world peace were among the reasons for the award.

Education and Professional Background

Completing her master's degree in public health at Boston University, Mansi Williams pursued her undergraduate education in politics, psychology, and social behavior.

Holding a Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification in process improvement and quality management, Williams worked in a training program for healthcare personnel at Boston Medical Center.

Social and Digital Projects

Having participated in initiatives for disabled children, the expert contributed to the development of a digital application used for the diagnosis of children at an organization named Kupenda for the Children.

Thanks to this application launched during the pandemic era, the number of child cases that could be attended to tripled.

Volunteer Activities and Environmental Work

In addition to her professional endeavors, Williams prepared grant applications for the American Diabetes Association and supported the education of visually impaired preschool children.

She carried out activities in organizations such as Tree Pittsburgh, distributing food to homeless individuals, providing hot meals to low-income families, and working in environmental protection.
