Famous comedian Cem Yılmaz, who fell ill at his home in the Ayvacık district of Çanakkale, was hospitalized following a heart attack, underwent an angiography operation, and had a stent placed through his wrist. It was announced that the artist's treatment in intensive care is ongoing and his health condition is stable.
Fell Ill at Home and Was Hospitalized
While resting at his home in Çanakkale's Ayvacık district, 53-year-old famous comedian Cem Yılmaz experienced severe chest pain and fell ill. First taken to Ayvacık State Hospital by 112 Emergency Service teams, the artist was subsequently transferred to Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Faculty of Medicine Hospital.
Underwent a Successful Angiography Operation
In the approximately 40-minute operation performed by Cardiology Department Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Ercan Akşit and his team, access was gained through the wrist, and a balloon and stent were applied to the blocked vessel.
Prof. Dr. Akşit stated that the patient had suffered a major attack, but thanks to timely intervention, no tissue loss occurred.
Treatment Continues in Intensive Care
Following the operation, Cem Yılmaz was admitted to the intensive care unit, where his treatment continues. Experts stated that if the patient's condition remains stable, he could be discharged within two days.
