Famous comedian Cem Yılmaz, after falling ill at his home in the Ayvacık district of Çanakkale and being taken to the hospital, was determined to have suffered a heart attack, underwent surgery, and is continuing his treatment in the intensive care unit.

Cem Yılmaz, experiencing chest pain at his home in Paşaköy, Ayvacık district of Çanakkale, called the 112 Emergency Call Center to ask for help and was transported to the hospital by an ambulance dispatched to the scene.

Hospital Process

Following initial intervention at Ayvacık State Hospital, the famous comedian was transferred to the Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Hospital Coronary Intensive Care Unit, where examinations revealed that he had suffered a heart attack.

Operation Details

Prof. Dr. Ercan Akşit, a faculty member of the Cardiology Department who performed Cem Yılmaz's surgery, stated that the patient arrived fully conscious and that a balloon and stent procedure was performed via the wrist in the angiography laboratory in about 40 minutes.

Prof. Dr. Ercan Akşit stated that the patient's condition is very good, he is being kept in intensive care against possible complications, and that he could be discharged within a day or two if his general condition continues to be good.
