Cem Yılmaz Undergoes Angioplasty After Heart Attack
It was announced that the health status of famous comedian Cem Yılmaz, who underwent an angiogram in the hospital after suffering a heart attack at his home in Çanakkale, is good and he is planned to be discharged.
Comedian Cem Yılmaz, who fell ill and suffered a heart attack at his home in the Ayvacık district of Çanakkale, was treated in the intensive care unit following a successful angiogram operation at the hospital.
Taken to Hospital After Falling Ill at Home
Famous comedian Cem Yılmaz called the 112 Emergency Call Center for help after falling ill at his home in Paşaköy, in the Ayvacık district of Çanakkale.
Taken first to Ayvacık State Hospital with chest pain complaints, Yılmaz was transferred to Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Hospital following initial intervention there.
Angiogram Operation and Stent Procedure
Admitted to the Coronary Intensive Care Unit of Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Hospital, the artist was treated in the angiography laboratory.
In the operation performed via the wrist by Prof. Dr. Ercan Akşit and his team, a balloon and stent procedure was applied in approximately forty minutes, and the blocked vessel leading to the heart was treated.
Visit and Statement from Hospital Management
Following the operation, Çanakkale Onsekiz Mart University Rector Prof. Dr. Cüneyt Erenoğlu and the accompanying delegation visited Cem Yılmaz at the hospital.
Rector Erenoğlu shared with the public that the artist's general health status was quite good and that he was even cracking jokes in the hospital.
Intensive Care Monitoring and Discharge Plan
Cardiology Department Faculty Member Prof. Dr. Ercan Akşit stated that the patient was kept in intensive care against the risk of possible complications and was being treated with intravenous blood thinners.
It was reported that if his condition continues to progress well, his monitoring will continue under ward conditions after completing twenty-four hours, and he could be discharged within a day or two.
