Cevdet Yılmaz Lays Hospital Foundation and Opens R&D Center in Elazığ
Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz laid the foundation for a new hospital during his visit to Elazığ and shared the satisfaction rate in healthcare services.
Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz, visiting Elazığ for various programs, attended the groundbreaking ceremony for Fırat University's new hospital and announced the 2025 healthcare satisfaction rates.
Elazığ Visit and Welcoming Ceremony
Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz arrived in Elazığ to attend a series of visits and programs and was welcomed by protocol members at Elazığ Airport.
Transformations in the Healthcare System
Yılmaz touched upon the transformations made in the healthcare system throughout Turkey, stating that 1,521 hospitals are serving with a bed capacity exceeding 184,000.
He stated that 27 city hospitals have been completed and opened across the country, while the construction of 13 city hospitals is ongoing.
Satisfaction Rate and Hospital Details
It was announced that satisfaction with healthcare services reached 69.4 percent in 2025, compared to 39.5 percent in 2002.
It was stated that all patient rooms in the new hospital building are designed as single occupancy and the facility will feature 155 intensive care beds.
Opening of the R&D Center
Cevdet Yılmaz also attended the opening ceremony of the Prof. Dr. Yasemin Açık R&D Center, which was completed within the Fırat University campus.
It was emphasized that the center will significantly boost the university's research potential and holds the distinction of being its first standalone R&D building.
