Comprehensive Healthcare Service Model and Vaccine Donation for the Elderly
The Vietnam Association of the Elderly and VNVC have collaborated to support elderly people in living healthy and independent lives by donating 10,000 doses of next-generation influenza vaccines.
On the occasion of the International Day of Older Persons, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Vietnam Association of the Elderly and the Tam Anh Health Ecosystem - VNVC to provide comprehensive healthcare services. Within the framework of this partnership, 10,000 doses of next-generation influenza vaccines were donated to elderly people across the country.
Comprehensive Healthcare Project
The Vietnam Association of the Elderly and the Tam Anh Health Ecosystem - VNVC launched a joint project aimed at supporting older adults in leading healthier, more independent, and happier lives.
Nationwide Vaccine Support
On the occasion of this important cooperation, the VNVC Vaccination System donated 10,000 doses of next-generation influenza vaccines across the country to initiate proactive disease prevention activities among the elderly in the community.
Importance of Healthy Life Expectancy
Dr. Nguyen Minh Hang, Director of VNVC, emphasized that while average life expectancy has increased, the number of healthy years lived has not risen at the same rate, placing a burden on families and the healthcare system.
Continuous and Versatile Care Network
Under the agreement, covering the process from disease prevention to rehabilitation, experts will provide guidance and continuous healthcare services to the elderly through the Association of the Elderly's club network.
Demographic Change and Needs
There are approximately 16.5 million people aged 60 and over in Vietnam; the average life expectancy is 74.7 years, while the healthy life expectancy is limited to 65.4 years, making comprehensive care essential.
