Comprehensive School Health Screenings Launched for Students in Hanoi

Ahead of the 2026-2027 academic year, more than 2.2 million students in Hanoi are undergoing free health check-ups at schools to facilitate early detection and prevention of potential health issues.

Scope of the Health Screenings

Routine health check-ups have begun to be implemented simultaneously in schools across Hanoi in preparation for the new academic year.

These examinations are not limited to physical check-ups alone; they also ensure the detection of early abnormalities in vision, dental health, ear, nose, throat, and nutrition.

Examination Methods Applied

During the screenings conducted at schools, students' heights and weights are measured to evaluate their physical fitness in detail.

Medical history records of the students are documented and comprehensive examinations are carried out by specialist doctors and nurses.

Military Hospital Support

In the Son Tay and Phuc Tho areas, Military Hospital No. 105 and local authorities are working in coordination.

Military health teams, equipped with modern equipment and personnel, are stationed directly in schools to examine approximately 22,000 students aged between 6 and 18.

Digital Integration and Records

The examination results are integrated with the health insurance claim information system, the Ministry of Health's electronic health record system, and VNeID.

This integration ensures the long-term storage and secure monitoring of students' health information.
