Draft prepared setting payment limits for routine health check-ups under health insurance
The Ministry of Health has prepared a draft circular containing maximum payment limits varying by age group for periodic check-ups under the Health Insurance Fund.
According to the new draft circular prepared by the Ministry of Health, annual maximum payment amounts have been determined by age group for periodic health check-ups to be carried out under the Health Insurance Fund.
Payment limits by age group
According to the details in the draft proposal, a maximum annual payment of 350,000 VND per person is projected to be made within the scope of routine health check-ups for individuals aged 18 and over.
Rates for youth and children groups
While the annual maximum payment amount is planned as 250,000 VND for children and adolescents between the ages of six and eighteen, this limit has been set at a maximum of 200,000 VND for children under six years of age.
Fund resources and insufficiency status
In the event that the projected funds remain insufficient, necessary payments are planned to be covered from the resources allocated for medical examination and treatment by the Health Insurance Fund or from the reserve fund.
Effective date and scope
If approved, the relevant circular is expected to enter into force on July 1, 2027, and will include various tests such as a complete blood count and cholesterol for adults.
