The Ministry of Health has prepared a new draft decree promoting the use of electronic data to facilitate transactions for health insurance participants and reduce bureaucracy.
Bureaucracy Decreases with Electronic Data
Instead of patients submitting multiple types of paper documents, healthcare facilities will be able to proactively access electronic data. This will speed up processes.
New Regulations and Amendments
The Ministry of Health is seeking opinions on the draft amending various articles of Decree No. 188/2025/ND-CP, which details the implementation of existing legal provisions.
Authentication Methods
Participants will be able to provide their information using identity cards, VNeID level 2 electronic identity accounts, or printed and electronic health insurance card methods.
Conveniences for Children
For children under six years of age, presenting a printed or electronic copy of the health insurance card or providing the insurance number will be sufficient.
