An important step was taken at the extraordinary council meeting held for the modern and earthquake-resistant health center project planned to be brought to Tekeli Neighborhood in Menderes. The two-year preliminary allocation to the Provincial Directorate of Health was approved unanimously.

Extraordinary Meeting and Preliminary Allocation Decision

At the extraordinary council meeting led by Menderes Deputy Mayor Asuman Şen, the new health center project planned to be brought to the Tekeli region was discussed. At the meeting, it was decided to make a 2-year preliminary allocation to the Provincial Directorate of Health in order for the project to start rapidly.

Earthquake-Resistant Modern Health Facility

Upon the failure of the existing health center to pass the earthquake performance analysis commissioned by the Provincial Directorate of Health and its being found unsuitable, it was decided to demolish it. It was stated that a new health facility that is modern, compliant with today's conditions, and earthquake-resistant will be built on the same site.

Zoning Plan Amendment and Public Interest

It was recalled that the implementation zoning plan amendment for the area was decided at the Second Session of the September Ordinary Meeting. It was stated that this preliminary allocation step was taken in order to make license applications and accelerate project works in accordance with the relevant article of the zoning law.

Statements by Deputy Mayor Asuman Şen

Menderes Deputy Mayor Asuman Şen emphasized that the priority in all works carried out is the public interest. Şen stated that the council members approached the issue with sensitivity and that Tekeli will have a modern health facility as soon as possible.
