The 100-day intensive campaign launched in Da Nang city to enable citizens to benefit from regular health check-ups has not achieved the targeted progress. The Department of Health and local units are implementing new plans to overcome the difficulties encountered and increase participation rates.

Current Status of the Campaign

Da Nang is producing proactive solutions to difficulties in order to ensure the progress of the intensive campaign process targeted for 2026 for its citizens' regular health check-ups. The Ngu Hanh Son District Health Center conducts routine health check-ups for local residents.

Ministry of Health Review Results

Following its monitoring by working directly with 93 communes and wards, the Department of Health determined that the 100-day intensive campaign failed to reach the set targets. According to data, as of September 28, 2026, more than 2,241,610 people in the city have undergone health check-ups.

Challenges Encountered

Dr. Tran Thanh Thuy, Director of the Department of Health, stated that the difficulties range from identifying target groups to the funding mechanism. Because there is no centralized database, lists are filtered manually and participation rates remain low.

New Implementation Methods

Instead of waiting to compile lists, the health sector and local units are shifting to a method of clearly identifying those who still need to be examined. Early screenings will be organized for mountainous areas and mobile sessions will be increased.

Three-Phase Plan

To ensure the timely progress of the campaign, the process will be implemented in three phases. Check-ups will be accelerated until the end of October 2026, mobile sessions will be increased in November, and remaining groups will be completed by December 15, 2026.
