Free Health Screenings and Continuous Monitoring Era in Da Nang
Following the Politburo resolution, Da Nang city ensures that citizens not only receive diagnoses through free screenings but also are placed under continuous health monitoring.
Free medical examination and screening campaigns have accelerated in neighborhoods and wards across Da Nang city under the framework of Politburo Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW. The initiative aims to provide citizens with regular health monitoring and referrals following early detection.
Transition from Diagnosis to Healthcare
To embody the spirit of Politburo Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW, free medical examinations and screenings are being promoted in neighborhoods and wards throughout Da Nang. After the initial diagnosis, individuals receive counseling, referrals, and continuous health monitoring, shifting towards a comprehensive healthcare mindset.
Activities in Lien Chieu District
Residents receiving examinations at the Lien Chieu District Health Center are provided with expert advice and guidance. Center Director Ngo Van Dung stated that health checks were organized for 906 people in the area, reaching 77 percent of the target demographic.
Chronic Diseases and Eye Screenings
In the screening program conducted in cooperation with Song Han Eye Hospital, 10 detected cataract cases were treated with free surgery. Additionally, chronic conditions such as hypertension and diabetes were identified, and patients were referred to appropriate facilities.
Priority Screenings for Vulnerable Groups
Screenings were conducted in Hiep Duc commune and Phu Ninh District Health Center, giving priority to the elderly, people with disabilities, and poor families. Serious cases such as suspected heart attacks, kidney failure, and tuberculosis were detected in a timely manner and referred.
Future Goals and Infrastructure Strength
The Politburo resolution aims for individuals to undergo free periodic health check-ups at least once a year starting from 2026, and to establish lifelong electronic health records. Da Nang currently has 93 health stations, 194 health points, and more than 13,000 personnel.
