As part of an event organized in partnership between the Vietnam Young Physicians' Association and Abbott Vietnam, free health check-ups and counseling services were provided to more than 1,000 elderly people in Ho Chi Minh City. The program aims to raise awareness in the community about proactive healthcare and healthy aging.

Health Screening and Counseling Activities

As Vietnam's population enters an aging process, the importance of proactive healthcare is increasing. The event, held at Tao Dan Park on August 23, offered elderly citizens the opportunity for comprehensive screenings.

Healthy Aging and Nutritional Awareness

In addition to general health checks, the event included muscle strength assessments and nutritional education. These efforts emphasize the importance of muscle health and proper nutrition.

Expert Recommendations and Regular Check-ups

Dr. Hoang Thi Viet Ha from Gia Dinh People's Hospital stated that the elderly should undergo regular health check-ups every six months to detect abnormalities early.

Participant Experiences and Feedback

Le Thi Tinh, a 62-year-old participant, stated that thanks to the program, she has regulated her daily habits, paying attention to her nutrition and starting to take calcium and nutritional supplements.

Community Engagement and Family Support

The program demonstrated that family involvement is also critical in elderly health care. Diem Quynh, 29, noted that the event contributed to her understanding of common health symptoms.
