Scope of the National Target Program

The National Target Program for Socio-Economic Development in Ethnic Minority and Mountainous Areas, Culture, Society, and Rural Development is being implemented to cover the 2026-2035 period.

Access to Primary Healthcare Services

According to data from the Ministry of Health, the core components of the program include healthcare services along with population and development elements.

It aims to increase people's access to primary healthcare services and strengthen early disease prevention efforts.

Commune Health Criteria

By 2030, 90 percent of communes, neighborhoods, and special zones are expected to meet the National Commune Health Criteria.

Disease Control and Prevention Capacity

It is aimed for all provincial and city-level Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to achieve the capacity to test for dangerous infectious disease pathogens.

Maternal and Child Health Targets

Among the targets are reducing the stunting rate among children under five to below 15 percent and screening newborns.
