Nam Can Tho University has announced the groundbreaking ceremony for the second phase of construction of its International Hospital. The project, with a total investment of 1,500 billion VND, is planned to be completed and operational within 24 months.

Groundbreaking Ceremony Held

Nam Can Tho University laid the foundation stone for the second phase of construction of its International Hospital at a ceremony held on September 18.

Technical Specifications of the Project

The second phase is designed to consist of 20 above-ground floors and 2 basement floors, with a total usable floor area of approximately 59,511 square meters. The hospital facility will house treatment, education, clinical practice, and high-tech centers.

Capacity and Investment Details

The total investment value for the project's construction and equipment is estimated at approximately 1,500 billion VND. Once the project is completed, the hospital's capacity will increase from 300 beds to 1,000 beds.

Strategic Objectives and Training

Dr. Nguyen Tien Dung, Chairman of the Board of Directors, stated that the project aims to transition into an academic medical center model. The hospital will provide an important clinical practice environment for health sciences students.

Background of the First Phase

Implemented with an investment of approximately 860 billion VND, the first phase of the hospital entered service at the end of May 2022 with a capacity of 300 beds.
