Health Investments and Cancer Centers in the Kurdistan Region

The Ministry of Health of the Kurdistan Region announced that investments in the healthcare infrastructure continue during the 9th cabinet term, with completed hospitals as well as early cancer detection centers starting operations across the region.
Completed Projects in Healthcare Infrastructure
Within the scope of the efforts carried out across the Kurdistan Region, the construction of 31 new hospitals has been completed and put into service for the people of the region.
Ongoing Strategic Health Investments
Construction of 6 hospitals, including the major oncology complex in Erbil, and work on strategic health projects are ongoing.
Combating Cancer and Early Detection Efforts
Within the framework of the strategy to combat cancer, early cancer detection centers have been opened for service in the Ranya, Halabja, and Zakho regions.
Specialized Centers and Dialysis Projects
With the aim of diversifying healthcare services, numerous specialized centers have been put into operation while the National Dialysis Project has also been expanded.
