Health Managers of Three Provinces Meet in İncesu for ASKOM and UMKE
Health managers from the provinces of Kayseri, Niğde, and Nevşehir came together to discuss regional emergency health services and disaster coordination.
Health managers from the provinces of Kayseri, Niğde, and Nevşehir met at the 2026 2nd Region ASKOM Meeting and the 11th Region UMKE Exercise held in İncesu to evaluate emergency health services and regional coordination.
Regional Health Gathering in İncesu
The 2026 2nd Region Emergency Health Services Coordination Commission Meeting and the 11th Region UMKE Exercise were held in the İncesu district of Kayseri.
In these joint programs, emergency health services and disaster coordination capacity of the three provinces were evaluated comprehensively.
Summit at the Historic Caravanserai
The meeting was hosted by the Kayseri Provincial Health Directorate at the historic İncesu Karamustafapaşa Caravanserai.
Kayseri Provincial Health Director Dr. Mehmet Erşan, Nevşehir Provincial Health Director Op. Dr. Hasan Tartar, and Niğde Provincial Health Director Asst. Prof. Dr. Doğan Bahadır İnan attended the meeting.
Patient Transfer and Intensive Care Processes
Data regarding emergency health services of the regional provinces were discussed during the meeting, and inter-provincial patient transfer and admission processes were handled in detail.
Additionally, the operations of hospital emergency services and intensive care capacities were evaluated by the managers.
Disaster and Emergency Coordination
Mutual views were exchanged on the steps that can be taken to make regional coordination more effective during disasters and emergencies.
Strengthening cooperation between Kayseri, Niğde, and Nevşehir and ensuring smooth transfer processes were targeted.
UMKE Exercise and Opening Program
Following the ASKOM meeting, the health managers participated in the opening program of the 11th Region UMKE Exercise.
Within the scope of the exercise, preparedness against potential disaster scenarios, intervention processes, and inter-institutional coordination were discussed.
Goal of Uninterrupted Health Service
The organized programs once again highlighted the importance of regional cooperation for the uninterrupted continuation of disaster and emergency health services across the region.
The meeting and exercise concluded with messages of determination to provide emergency health services much faster and in a more coordinated manner.
