At the health workshop held in Rize under the leadership of Health Minister Memişoğlu, healthcare services in the city, ongoing hospital projects, and personnel planning were discussed.
Topics Addressed at the Workshop
Within the scope of the meeting, ongoing work in the field of health in Rize and the current status of healthcare services in the city were comprehensively evaluated. Hospitals under construction and doctor requirements were also brought to the agenda.
Ongoing Hospital Projects
The latest status of the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan City Hospital and Çayeli State Hospital, which are currently under construction, was discussed at the meeting. It was stated that the Rize Education and Research Hospital will continue to provide services.
Personnel and Equipment Planning
Since the Rize Education and Research Hospital will continue to operate, evaluations were made regarding the procurement and planning of the personnel that will be needed. Discussions were held on procuring the medical supplies to be used in the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan City Hospital, which is planned to open in 2027.
Minister Memişoğlu's Instructions
Minister Memişoğlu gave instructions to ensure that the opening process of the hospital is not disrupted and to accelerate the procurement of the required medical supplies.
Inspections and Meetings
Following the meeting, Minister Memişoğlu held a brief discussion in his office with Provincial Health Director Gökhan Demiral. Afterwards, he proceeded to the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan City Hospital construction site to inspect the works on-site.
