Healthcare Services Provided to Agricultural Workers in Karapınar within the Scope of Public Health Week
In Konya's Karapınar district, the District Health Directorate teams visited agricultural workers in the orchards where they work on the occasion of Public Health Week.
Within the framework of the September 3-9 Public Health Week events in Konya's Karapınar district, comprehensive preventive health services and check-ups were carried out in the field for agricultural workers by the District Health Directorate teams.
Health Screening and Field Visits
Due to the September 3-9 Public Health Week in Karapınar, the District Health Directorate teams organized various field- and hospital-based events. In this context, seasonal agricultural workers were visited in person at the apple orchards.
During these field visits, preventive health services were directly delivered to citizens working in rural areas, ensuring they underwent health screenings.
Support for Infants and Expectant Mothers
During the field visits, vitamin D and iron supplements were distributed for infants aged 0-2, and vitamin D support was also provided to expectant mothers.
Regular health monitoring of pregnant women, infants, and children was conducted by expert teams, and necessary check-ups were meticulously completed.
Vaccination Checks and Follow-ups
Within the scope of the ongoing efforts, vaccination schedules of children and infants were checked, and missing vaccinations and follow-ups were evaluated on-site.
Health teams informed families to spread awareness of preventive medicine and explained the importance of regular monitoring processes.
Information Booth at Karapınar State Hospital
Public Health Week events were not limited to the field alone and continued within Karapınar State Hospital.
Through a special public health booth set up inside the hospital, informative events and awareness-raising activities were conducted for citizens visiting the hospital.
