Adil Kurban, General President of the Public Union of Physicians and Other Healthcare Professionals, made statements regarding the alleged assault at Erciyes University. In the incident that occurred in Kayseri, it was reported that a physician had an argument with a construction worker and security guards while leaving the outpatient clinic.
It was stated that despite informing the other party of his previous brain surgery, the physician was assaulted and lost consciousness as a result of blows to his head.
Call for Police Instead of Security
Touching upon the authority and responsibility limits possessed by security guards in hospitals, Adil Kurban emphasized that the current system falls short. It was argued that police officers should be stationed directly in healthcare institutions instead of private security.

During the press conference, proposals regarding the integration of traditional and complementary medicine practices into family medicine were reiterated. In addition, the public was informed about ongoing joint efforts with the Ministry of Justice.
