A new financial support policy has been introduced in Ho Chi Minh City to alleviate the educational expenses of resident doctors and train qualified medical personnel.

Approval of the New Support Policy

The Ho Chi Minh City People's Council officially approved the decision to provide 100% tuition fee support and additional living expense support for resident doctors in priority specialties.

Assessment by the Director of the Health Department

Tang Chi Thuong, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Health Department, stated that this policy is not only financial assistance, but also a clear demonstration of appreciation for talented young doctors.

Alleviation of Economic Pressure

The city administration aims to reduce the economic pressure during their training by covering the full tuition fees, which amount to a maximum of 100 million VND per person per academic year.

Investment in Qualified Human Resources

Tang Chi Thuong emphasized the importance of investing in quality human resources, stating that while building a hospital or purchasing medical equipment can be done in a short time, training a qualified doctor requires many years.

Expected Service Obligation

Young doctors who benefit from this support are expected to use the knowledge and skills they acquire after completing their training in line with the healthcare needs of patients and the city.
