Members of the Women's Solidarity Committees gathered in front of the Ministry of Health to protest statements made by Health Minister Kemal Memişoğlu against demands to include the HPV vaccine in the national vaccination schedule.
Demonstration in Front of the Ministry of Health
Members of the Women's Solidarity Committees held a protest demonstration in front of the Ministry of Health demanding that the HPV vaccine, which provides protection against cervical cancer, be included in the national vaccination schedule and administered free of charge.
Expressing their opposition to marketization and reactionarism in health, the women chanted various slogans and criticized the Ministry's current policies and statements.

In a joint statement made on behalf of the WSC, it was emphasized that women's lives and health cannot be left to the mercy of the market, and it was reiterated that the vaccine must be accessible to everyone.
Banu Ünver, the Ankara Provincial Chair of the Communist Party of Turkey who participated in the protest, also delivered a speech sharply criticizing the stance of the government and the Ministry of Health on the issue.
