It was shared that a large portion of the cases were sent home after outpatient treatments performed in emergency services and applied fluid supplements.
No Common Food Consumption Detected
In the initial contact tracing and epidemiological evaluations carried out by health teams, no common food consumption history or clustering in a specific neighborhood was detected among the citizens who fell ill.
Investigations and Laboratory Process
Following the developments, eyes turned to drinking water and the necessary samples were sent for laboratory analysis. Biological and chemical analyses are ongoing in order to understand the exact source.
It was learned that expert teams affiliated with the Ministry of Health will also arrive in the district to conduct detailed investigations in order to determine the exact cause of the outbreak, whether of viral or bacterial origin.
Water Statement from the Municipality
Making a statement regarding the issue, Görele Municipality announced that no negativity was encountered in the analysis results of the samples taken from the drinking water network.
Additionally, while it was stated that the residual chlorine levels in the network were appropriate, citizens were asked not to rely on statements not verified by official institutions.
