The Ministry of Health has issued critical warnings and shared various recommendations for families in order to facilitate children's adaptation during the back-to-school process following the summer holiday.

Screen Time and Sleep Routine

In order for children to quickly adapt to the school routine following the holiday period, daily habits need to be reviewed. The Ministry advises that screen time should not be cut off all at once, but rather reduced gradually. Similarly, readjusting sleep schedules, which tend to stretch out during the summer, before school begins is of great importance.

School Anxiety and Parental Attitudes

Separation anxiety that may be observed in some children during the back-to-school process should be considered normal, and these feelings must definitely not be belittled. Avoiding comparing children with their peers is among the key factors positively affecting the adaptation process. Additionally, it is recommended to maintain continuous communication and cooperation with teachers and school administration during this process.
