The Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management of the Ministry of Health has sent an urgent document to local authorities to increase inspections in private healthcare institutions and resolutely combat illegal practices such as generating false illnesses.

Details of the Inspection Directive

The Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Management of the Ministry of Health requested the immediate strengthening of inspections in private healthcare institutions through an urgent document sent to relevant units.

Within the scope of the published directive, it was decided to closely monitor non-public medical examination and treatment activities.

Combating Unlawful Practices

The Ministry emphasized that it will resolutely combat violations such as fabricating illnesses to extort money, the misuse of paraclinical prescriptions, and operating outside of licensed areas of expertise.

It was stated that while the private health system contributes to public health, legal regulations are seriously violated in some centers.

Legal Proceedings and Sanctions

It was recalled that the Investigation Agency of the Hai Phong City Police Department prosecuted 19 defendants due to law violations at the Phuong Do International Multi-Purpose Clinic.

Local authorities were requested to organize comprehensive and unannounced inspections, revoke the licenses of non-compliant facilities, and report the situation to the police.
