University students are intensively researching when the KYK scholarship and loan applications for the 2026-2027 academic year will begin, with expectations pointing to October.

When Will Application Dates Be Announced

As of August 31, 2026, no official application announcement has been made yet by the Ministry of Youth and Sports. Since the application process took place between October 13-17 last year, a similar period is expected to be followed this year.

With the approaching new educational term, students are eagerly awaiting the clarification of application dates and the official announcement in order to secure financial support.

Who Can Apply for Scholarships and Loans

Students enrolling in a higher education program for the first time in the 2026-2027 academic period, as well as continuing intermediate-class students, are eligible to benefit from this right.

Additionally, Turkish citizens studying higher education abroad have the right to apply for scholarships and student loans within the framework of specified rules.

Checks to Be Made via e-Government

Since applications will be received entirely through the e-Government system, it is mandatory for students to have a valid e-Government password or one of the alternative login methods.

Because students' educational information is transferred via the Higher Education Information System, incorrect or missing records must be corrected by contacting university student affairs before applying.

Evaluation Criteria and Support Lines

Scholarship and loan allocation procedures are carried out by taking into account the social, economic, and academic achievement statuses of students, verified through data from various public institutions.

Students who encounter any issues during the process can receive assistance via the ALO GSB and KYK Support lines, which operate twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week.
