MHP Kahramanmaraş Provincial Chairman Mansur Metehan Involved in Traffic Accident
As a result of a collision between vehicles carrying a delegation traveling for district visits, one person lost their life, and seven people, including a member of parliament and the provincial chairman, were injured.
In Kahramanmaraş, one person lost their life and seven people, including a member of parliament and the provincial chairman, were injured in a traffic accident resulting from the collision of vehicles in the convoy of the MHP delegation that set out for district visits.
Moment of the Accident and Collision Point
During the district visits carried out in the Kahramanmaraş region, the vehicles in the delegation's convoy were shaken by a traffic accident. Two vehicles collided at the Gerger Neighborhood junction on the Afşin-Elbistan highway.
As a result of the collision at the junction between the pickup truck with license plate 07 L 6050 and the automobile with license plate 46 AY 069, whose drivers' identities have not yet been determined, great sorrow was experienced at the scene.
Loss of Life and Condition of the Injured
In the tragic accident, Samet Özdemir, who was a passenger in the pickup truck, lost his life at the scene.
Additionally, a total of seven people were injured in the accident, including MHP Kahramanmaraş Member of Parliament Zuhal Karakoç, a bodyguard police officer, and MHP Kahramanmaraş Provincial Chairman Mansur Metehan.
Hospital Treatments and Transfer Procedures
The injured, whose first interventions were performed at Afşin State Hospital by medical teams that quickly arrived at the scene, were later transferred to various hospitals for further examination and treatment.
In the official statement made by authorities, it was shared with the public that the injured do not generally have life-threatening conditions.
Transfer of MP Karakoç to Ankara
It was stated that the previous lower back ailment experienced by MHP Kahramanmaraş Member of Parliament Zuhal Karakoç, who was injured in the accident, recurred with this incident.
Taking into consideration her doctors' request for a check-up and her current condition, MP Karakoç was transferred to Ankara via an air ambulance provided through Hatay.
