Millions of Citizens Received Free Services at Healthy Life Centers

Within the scope of the efforts carried out by the Ministry of Health, while the number of centers across the country has increased, the preventive health services and screenings provided have reached millions of citizens.

Erdoğan Öz, General Manager of Public Health at the Ministry of Health, announced that more than 16 million people received free healthcare services at Healthy Life Centers during the first 8 months of 2026.

Number of Centers and General Data

Making statements within the framework of Public Health Week, officials stated that preventive health services have been expanded.

While 93 new centers have entered service over the past two years, the total number of Healthy Life Centers across the country has reached 357.

Smoking Cessation and Nutrition Support

Among the activities carried out in the centers are smoking cessation clinics and expert-led nutrition support.

Since the inception of the practice, free counseling has been provided to over 225,000 people in smoking cessation clinics.

Cancer Screenings and Trainings

Early diagnosis services were provided to more than 10 million people through Cancer Early Diagnosis, Screening, and Education Centers.

Additionally, over 80,000 citizens have been reached to date in the menopause schools within the Healthy Life Academy.

Areas of Expertise and Application Methods

While citizens are served in a total of 17 different areas of expertise, support can be received from specialists such as dietitians and psychologists.

Those wishing to benefit from the services can make an appointment through the Central Physician Appointment System or be referred by their family physicians.

Supports for Expectant Mothers and Fathers

Comprehensive training and consultancy services are provided to expectant mothers and fathers through pregnancy schools.

Expectant mothers can also benefit from physiotherapist, dietitian, and dental health services if needed.
