The Vietnamese Ministry of Health has launched an urgent investigation into pre-employment health reports issued with inadequate examinations and in a very short time at certain private clinics in Can Tho and Dong Thap provinces.

Ministry Takes Action

The Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Administration under the Ministry of Health has requested the urgent verification of pre-employment health examination activities at private clinics in the two provinces.

An official document signed by Vuong Anh Duong, Deputy Director of the Department of Medical Examination and Treatment Administration, was sent to the relevant departments of health.

Multiple Signatures in a Short Time

Reports in media outlets revealed that at a clinic in Can Tho, a health certificate contained nine different signatures following an examination that lasted approximately 20 minutes.

It was also determined that at another clinic in Dong Thap, a report concluded that a patient with high blood pressure was perfectly healthy after being prescribed medication.

The Ministry of Health has asked local authorities to urgently investigate press reports, examine all cases, and diligently pursue legal action.

The two Health Departments are required to report the results of their inspection and verification efforts to the Ministry of Health by September 18, 2026.
