Ministry of Health 26,673 contracted personnel recruitment process

Application dates and the OSYM preference guide have not yet been published regarding the recruitment of 26,673 contracted healthcare personnel planned within the Ministry of Health for 2026. The vast majority of the positions have been allocated to physicians.

Details of the Recruitment Decision

With the Presidential Decree published in the Official Gazette dated October 21, 2025, a total of 26,673 contracted healthcare personnel positions were determined to be employed in places and service branches where difficulty is experienced in procuring personnel.

In the process closely monitored by candidates, the application and preference calendar is expected to be finalized with the guide to be published by OSYM.

Quota Distribution

According to the quota distribution included in the official decision, the specialist doctor quota was determined as 22,983, and the doctor quota as 3,652 people.

In addition, while quotas were allocated for other branches such as health officer, midwife, nurse, dietitian, and health technician, a major portion of the positions was assigned to physicians.

Non-Physician Personnel Process

In the statements made by Minister of Health Kemal Memişoğlu, it was indicated that non-physician healthcare personnel recruitments would be planned following the 2026 KPSS process.

For this reason, the entire 26,673 contracted personnel quota should not be considered solely as the recruitment of nurses, midwives, or health technicians.

Application and Preference Expectation

It is anticipated that the application and preference process will be conducted in accordance with the preference guide to be published by OSYM, and candidates will perform transactions using their Turkish ID numbers and OSYM passwords.
