The Ministry of Health is implementing new regulations aimed at bringing healthcare closer to the public by accelerating digital transformation in comprehensive health management, electronic health records, and remote consultation services.
Digital Transformation Circular
A new circular signed by Deputy Minister of Health Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi Lien Huong outlines various contents regarding digital transformation within the scope of the National Health, Population, and Development Target Program prepared for the 2026-2035 period.
New Platforms and Management
Individuals' health records will be managed through the Commune Health Station Platform, and comprehensive health consultation services will be provided to citizens using the Remote Medical Examination and Treatment Support Platform.
Institutional Assignments
The National Center for Health Information has been directly tasked with establishing, commissioning, and ensuring the stable operation of these newly specified platforms nationwide.
The Role of Local Governments
People's Committees of provinces and cities will also instruct relevant units to ensure the complete establishment and implementation of these new digital systems.
Home Healthcare Services
A family doctor model linked to electronic health record management and the remote medical consultation platform will be implemented, thereby expanding home healthcare services and monitoring through smart devices and digital tools.
