The Ministry of Health announced that 12,182,293 people were directly reached through activities carried out in 81 provinces within the scope of the National Health Literacy Action Plan.

Action Plan and Direct Access

In the statement made by the Ministry of Health, it was stated that a large number of citizens across the country have been brought together since the day the National Health Literacy Action Plan was put into practice.

It was officially reported that a total of 12,182,293 people were directly reached through training, seminars, stands, and field information activities.

Public Health and Vaccination Services

In the ministry's statement, it was especially emphasized that citizens' access to accurate health information is the most critical part of preventive health services.

While the theme of Public Health Week was determined as Question the Information, Verify the Source, Protect Your Health with Vaccine, the importance of vaccination services was reminded once again.

Expanded Immunization Program

It was reported that routine vaccination applications against 13 different diseases are being carried out with determination within the scope of the childhood immunization program.

It was announced to the public that the Tdap vaccine began to be administered to pregnant women in April 2025, and a transition was also made to the hexavalent combination vaccine system.

Awareness and Field Operations

The National Health Literacy Action Plan, valid between 2025 and 2028, aims to combat disinformation and disseminate accurate information.

The activities are carried out in a wide area such as schools, health institutions, public education centers, mosques, barracks, prisons, nursing homes, children's homes, youth centers, and shopping malls.
