Modern Techniques and Telemedicine Applications in the Provincial Healthcare Sector
Following the Politburo resolution, the healthcare system was strengthened while modern techniques, screening campaigns, and telemedicine were expanded.
In the year following the implementation of the Politburo's Resolution No. 72-NQ/TW, significant developments have been recorded in the provincial healthcare sector, including the adoption of modern techniques, telemedicine applications, and comprehensive health screening campaigns.
Modern Techniques in the Healthcare System
With the support of higher-level hospitals, doctors at Tra Vinh General Hospital have mastered the nerve graft microsurgery technique and successfully applied this method.
Healthcare Facilities and Infrastructure
The province has a total of 435 healthcare facilities, including 1 specialized hospital, 46 basic hospitals, and health centers, as the local healthcare system is gradually being strengthened.
Management and Insurance Rates
Since the beginning of 2026, 124 health stations and 225 health station points have been transferred to the management of district-level People's Committees.
While there are 10.6 doctors and 32 hospital beds per 10,000 people, a health insurance coverage rate of approximately 97% has been achieved.
Telemedicine and Health Screenings
Telemedicine applications have been implemented in all district-level health centers, and early diagnosis has been achieved through screening campaigns.
