New directive to prevent duplicate procedures and waste in health check-ups
The government has issued comprehensive instructions to accelerate citizens' health screenings, prevent duplicate procedures, and avoid resource waste.
In accordance with Directive No. 17/CT-TTg, the government has requested the Ministry of Health, relevant agencies, and local authorities to accelerate health check-ups and simultaneously take steps to prevent duplicate procedures and waste.
New Planning for Health Check-ups
Provincial and municipal People's Committees are held fully accountable for the implementation results in their respective regions. Local authorities must urgently review the plan according to each target group and priority roadmap.
During the implementation process, the number of examined and unexamined individuals, priority groups, and facility capacities must be accurately determined on a monthly basis.
Priority Groups and Objectives
Priority groups include the elderly, people with disabilities, poor households, individuals with chronic illnesses, and residents living in island communes. The Prime Minister stated that health check-ups must not be conducted indiscriminately.
It was emphasized that the main goal of the efforts should not be merely reaching quotas, and the process must be conducted more efficiently and methodically.
Prevention of Duplicate Procedures
Routine check-ups, free screenings, student examinations, and occupational health check-ups must be properly integrated. The aim is to prevent repeated examinations.
In order to prevent duplicate payments and waste, clinically valid examination results must be utilized effectively in relevant processes.
Electronic Records and Integration
Local authorities are required to accelerate the creation of electronic health records and synchronize data on VNeID.
Health check-up data will be linked with medical examinations, laboratory results, diagnostic imaging, and dedicated databases.
