The government has issued Decree No. 350/2026/ND-CP regulating professional incentive allowances for medical personnel, establishing new allowance rates ranging from 30% to 80%.

Scope of the New Decree

The government recently officially regulated the preferential allowance regime for medical personnel through Decree No. 350/2026/ND-CP.

This new regulation covers public employees and contract workers operating in fields such as disease prevention, medical examination and treatment, traditional medicine, pharmacy, food safety, and forensic medicine.

Allowance Rates and Conditions

The determined rates vary between 30% and 80% depending on the nature of the work, the working environment, and the location.

The highest allowance rate of 80% applies to medical personnel in specific specialized fields as well as those working in border regions, islands, and particularly difficult or extremely difficult areas.

Effective Date and Implementation

Published on September 9, 2026, the Decree has entered into force upon its publication.

Meanwhile, the new allowance rates will be applied retroactively starting from January 1, 2026.
