New Protocol Signed to Facilitate Teachers' Access to Healthcare Services

With the cooperation protocol signed between the Primary School Teachers' Health and Social Assistance Fund and Unico Sigorta, approximately 300,000 teachers have been included in the scope of complementary health insurance.

Protocol Signing Ceremony Held

The cooperation protocol aimed at supporting teachers' access to healthcare services was signed at a ceremony held at the Başkent Öğretmenevi.

Deputy Minister of National Education M. Bilal Macit, ILKSAN Board Chairman İsa Barış, and Unico Sigorta General Manager Ender Güzeler attended the signing ceremony.

Emphasis on Teachers from the Ministry

Deputy Minister of National Education M. Bilal Macit stated in his speech at the ceremony that teachers are at the center of educational policies as a ministry.

Stating that teachers feeling secure is of great importance in terms of education, Macit noted that the application covers approximately 300,000 member teachers.

Details on Scope and Age Limit

ILKSAN Board Chairman İsa Barış announced that there is no age limit for complementary health insurance and that all 296,000 members have been included in the scope.

It was reported that the application became active for all members as of September 14.

Service and Information Access

It was stated that members can easily access all detailed information regarding the insurance policy and usage features through the e-Government gateway.

Within the scope of the protocol, ILKSAN members will be able to receive direct service from 598 contracted healthcare institutions operating across Turkey.

Bridge Between Private and Public Health

Unico Sigorta General Manager Ender Güzeler emphasized that the implemented application acts as a bridge bringing together the strong structure of the public health system and private healthcare services.

After the speeches were completed, the cooperation protocol was officially signed between the parties.
