New Regulations Issued for Data Security in the Healthcare Sector

The Ministry of Health has officially published comprehensive new regulations regarding the management, operation, cybersecurity, and data sharing of health reporting information systems nationwide.

Central Reporting and Scope

This system collects reporting data from the entire sector, from local governments to central administration, and associates it with the Government's reporting information system.

The published regulation covers organizations affiliated with the Ministry of Health, provincial and city health directorates, healthcare facilities, and all units granted access.

Data Collection and Quality Standards

One of the most important focuses of the regulation is the automatic retrieval of data via electronic connections in order to minimize data duplication.

It has been made mandatory that reported data fully meets the conditions of being strictly accurate, complete, clean, and up to date.

Security and Data Protection Measures

The regulation aims to increase information security by providing strict access controls based on official authority, protect state secrets, and secure personal data.

Within the scope of the system, daily automatic data backups will be performed, periodic recovery tests will be conducted every six months, and security assessments will be carried out at least once a year.
