A mobile health service application has been launched in Manisa's Alaşehir district targeting citizens who have difficulty reaching healthcare institutions and seasonal workers who have arrived for the grape harvest.
Scope of the Mobile Health Service
The mobile health vehicle allocated to the Alaşehir District Health Directorate by the Manisa Provincial Health Directorate has started providing services by touring neighborhoods across the district. Teams reach out on-site to citizens who experience transportation difficulties and cannot find the time to go to healthcare institutions.
Cancer Screenings and Early Diagnosis Efforts
Within the framework of programs carried out by the Ministry of Health, cervical, breast, and colorectal cancer screenings are being conducted. The main goal of the teams led by Specialist Dr. Fatma Seven is to prevent potential health problems by providing early diagnosis opportunities.
Health Check at Seasonal Workers' Tents
Visiting the temporary tents set up during the harvest period in Alaşehir, one of Turkey's important grape production centers, one by one, the teams evaluate the health conditions of seasonal agricultural workers on-site. Workers' blood pressure is measured, and necessary screenings are performed.
Information and Guidance Activities
Health teams listen to the complaints of citizens and direct individuals in need of treatment to relevant healthcare institutions. In addition, while explaining the importance of cancer screenings, information is provided on ensuring that children's vaccinations are done on time.
