Contributing significantly to Ordu's healthcare infrastructure, the 1,200-bed Ordu City Hospital started accepting patients as of September 19, marking the beginning of a new era in healthcare for the city.
Opening and First Examinations
Drawing attention with its modern infrastructure, technological equipment, and large capacity, Ordu City Hospital started accepting patients as of September 19, with protocol members conducting the first examinations at the hospital.
The individuals who received the first examinations at the City Hospital were Ordu Governor Muammer Erol, Ordu Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Mehmet Hilmi Güler, and Ordu University Rector Prof. Dr. Orhan Baş.
Municipality and University Support
The infrastructure, zoning, transportation, and landscaping arrangements of the hospital were carried out by the Ordu Metropolitan Municipality to make it ready for service.
Ordu University Rector Prof. Dr. Orhan Baş stated that the hospital has an integrated structure with the university and will work jointly with the faculties of medicine and dentistry.
Capacity and Technical Equipment
Ordu Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Dr. Mehmet Hilmi Güler emphasized that although the hospital has 1,200 beds, its capacity can reach 1,500, and it will serve not only Ordu but also the region.
Ordu City Hospital will serve citizens with many units, notably its 1,200-bed capacity, 40 operating rooms, 13 delivery rooms, 2 water birth units, and 55 chemotherapy units.
